Sad Grad

Mini Grads

The boys had a "preschool graduation" from daycare last week.

Max was not interested in singing and was very sad to graduate...

He wore his hat, but refused to sing and cried the whole time...

His teacher finally brought Liam in to help calm him down...

Liam patted him on the mortarboard for awhile...

He did get up to receive his certificate from Miss Gina, though.

And perked up when he was able to come back to see me!

Liam even got to wear full graduation garb! A little too soon for mom...

Happy Birthday, Max!

Auntie Sarah got the boys their own hippity-hops!

They were quite popular all day long!

Max got a new big kid bike from Grammy Pammy and Grandpa Howie! It even makes motorcycle noises!

ADORABLE. Liam found an old Elmo Valentine's Day card and repurposed it for Max. He then "wrapped" some of his action figures and a small paint pallete in an old puzzle box for Max's "gift" from him.

The Fish Fryer. Hard at work!

Max and his "minion" from Despicable Me!

Liam read all of Max's cards to him while Max waited patiently to open each gift!

Nerf swording with Uncle Bird!

Happy Birthday, Maxwell!

Easter...A Month Late!

We celebrated Easter up north, and, true to form, the boys were up at the crack of dawn!

Liam got "Puss in Boots" on DVD and a few other things.

Max got "Despicable Me" on DVD, which he has been holding just like this for the past month!

We attended a great Easter Sunday service and spent lots of time with family. Hope you were able to do the same!

Silhouettes Fashion Show 2012

Sarah's senior fashion show was this weekend and our family all converged in Menomonie!

She created an amazing collection called Henley, Grandpa Howard's middle name!

Her pieces looked perfect on the models.

The fit that she achieved with each outfit was really impressive.

The girls looked gorgeous.

Sarah did each model's hair and makeup herself.

So proud of my sasster!

She created a themed display of her collection that included large scale photos, a "look book", and other items to tie it all together.

Great job, sass!
I know she would credit my forcing her to dress up like Laura Ingalls Wilder as a child as her true inspiration for fashion design...

Mojitos On My Mind...

After a long (but interesting) week of work, I'm heading to Stout for the weekend! Pitcher Mojitos and Silhouettes Fashion Show here we come! The boys are going to a wedding with Ron and Meg, and I'm sure they will have a great time. Max is in a really difficult phase right now where he is super defiant and then just laughs when you try and discipline him. He's also into yelling "no!" and stomping when you ask him to do something. And then screaming and hysterically crying if you don't give him what he wants. It's trying, to say the least. Aaron thought I should spend some time with just Liam while he spent time with Max, so Liam and I went on a "date" last night. We went to Red Lobster for dinner, where a lady asked if he was always so good and I said he is! She said I've done a good job...so that was nice! As soon as she said this Liam started trying to crawl onto the floor and then lay down in the booth, though...thanks, buddy! Then we went to see "The Pirates 3D". It was an ok movie, but Liam liked it and especially liked the movie poster outside that says "Laugh your booty off!" It was a good night and I loved spending time with him. We'll have to do it more often.

Now...off to a weekend of more fun!

My Sasster...I'm pretty proud of her!
